Fuhnominon F.O.S (Future of Soca) is no stranger to the stage. Whether in the studio or on stage his sound can be described as an energetic display of melodic tones with a splash of passion in every note. This artiste is truly the Future of Soca and for him the quality of lyrical content, singing and performing are paramount.

This Barbadian born artiste has been performing from age ten and has worked hard to achieve the status of one of the region’s top performers. Not only is he a singer/song writer, but he is also a gifted dancer, stilt-walker (mokojumbie), choreographer, fire-eater, juggler, actor, model, tutor and entrepreneur.

Fuhnominon started his career as a backing dancer and stilt-walker for the top local Soca acts which include all of the Party Monarch and Sweet Soca competition winners in Barbados. He has also performed with other regional acts including Arrow, Denise Belfon and Machel Montano. His various skills have allowed him to tour the world extensively. Most prominent being: Los Angeles World Trade Show; performing for an elite group of celebrities in Canuan, Tour to Suriname with Edwin Yearwood and Krosfyah and most recently to Trinidad Carnival where he was featured in their 2014 Carnival Magazine.

He has won numerous awards, including the Minister of Tourism’s Entertainer of the Year Award on two occasions and is the youngest person to win the King of the Bands competition in Barbados where he portrayed a giant robot on stilts. Fuhnominon has also done many regional and international print modeling campaigns and was a featured model in various movies including The Triangle with Luke Perry in 2001. In October 2014 he was chosen by the National Tourism Host Program to launch the initiative as one of the seasoned performers to spearhead the initiative.

Fuhnominon has always had a love for music and performing which resonates each time he hits the stage. This was clearly evident in his debut into the Soca arena in 2013 with a song written by Fuhnominon and Dr. Anthony ‘Gabby’ Carter, titled “Soca Army”. He soared to the finals of the Party Monarch – Soca Royale at Bushy Park in Barbados with this up-tempo track produced by Studio B. After instant success with his debut track, in November of 2013 Fuhnominon challenged his vocal versatility releasing the patriotic ballad ‘To BIM with Love’, which was co-written with Anthony ‘Gabby’ Carter.

In 2014 he released three tracks; “Mad & Dutty” a Jab Jab influenced song giving an up-tempo party vibe. “On De Road” a groovy Soca, is a fusion of traditional Soca and dance music. The third song ‘Break Away’ depicts the carnival day and how revelers enjoy every aspect of this once a year event. With its hypnotic melody, all who listen are left with a feel good vibe. This song received much attention regionally and internationally, and as a result led to the release of his very first music video in October 2014.

Fuhnominon is on a mission to reinvent and revolutionize Soca stage performance, bringing a fresh and unique style to the stage, backed by a group of gifted and diverse performers. Mission statement: “To be one of the world’s top recording and performing artiste, uplifting all people via music”.
